John 3:16
Today was fun listening to people talk about their shopping experience…They either stayed up late or arrived at the stores very early; many were disappointed that they didn’t achieve their goal of gift buying while others were happy to have survived the shopping with gifts in tow…
I found it humorous because years ago my mother and I would have done a little of the very early shopping. I still love to buy gifts, wrap them beautifully and watch the expressions when they are opened. It is a wonderful and fulfilling feeling.
Our Lord is forever giving us gifts, some wrapped beautifully and He watches as we open or acknowledge our gift. What pleasure He must receive when we finally turn to Him. I pray as we begin our Advent Season we enjoy the gift giving and receiving but more importantly we remember the Gift from God.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Let’s enjoy this Advent Season as we accept the miracle of Jesus.
Smiles & Blessings,
