A Day Well Spent

We are blessed with opportunities daily...what amazing possibilities await us? The question is...what will we do with this day? Will we waste it or use it for good. It is so easy to do nothing...if not working on this particular day, is it a day of television, games and other technology?

Will we clean those closets or the garage that has been patiently waiting for us? Read a good book, go for a walk or just vege? Many times we choose to do nothing as our lives have become so busy. We tend to over schedule our lives or our children's lives making us all little ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

Are we penciling in the Lord  or have we set a time to say "Thank You"...As we go through our busy lives let us remember to give God part of our day. He constantly waits for us and never fails to be there when we need Him.

As we approach the time of year that is set aside for thankfulness and gratitude, let us rejoice in worshiping  our Lord for each opportunity. Let us be thankful for each blessing and also the challenges as it is through the challenges that we grow closer to God.

Psalms 33 12-15
 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
    the people he chose for his inheritance.
13 From heaven the Lord looks down
    and sees all mankind;
14 from his dwelling place he watches
    all who live on earth—
15 he who forms the hearts of all,
    who considers everything they do.


Walking this day with the Lord is a day well spent. Let us continue to praise God with the joy of a grateful heart  receive the blessings He has waiting for us this day.

The Choices We Make

As we live our lives, are we living a life of honor and respect? I hear the news or read on social media daily, the lack of respect and common sense... it is no longer a requirement in our society. If one choices to disrespect the law or others in authority it is accepted.

Our Lord must be so dismayed by our behaviors...We live in a time that allows our children to act disrespectful or aggressive with little to no consequences. The parenting skills of many raising children and adolescents is poor or nonexistent.

Parents allow the media to set the limits and guidelines rather than the word of God. If we were to live by the commands of our Lord rather than society our children would gain self-respect and self-worth, parenting would be loving and attentive, and our youth would choose to strive for excellence with honor and morals.

I long for a time where life becomes filled with God's love, parents raise their children in our Lord's ways and our society once again errors on the side of mercy and grace. We live without fighting, bullying, lying and aggressive behavior...we choose to encourage, raise our expectations and  be proud to be honorable.

I pray God continues to bless us, that He allows us mercy and grace with His forgiveness and heals our hurts....

Psalm 51:9-13 Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Above and Beyond the Usual



Many times when beginning something new we go through anxiety or uncomfortable feelings.We become afraid or frozen in time, which does not allow us to venture forward. I have learned the closer I become connected to God the less anxiety I feel. It doesn’t mean we will not have those moments of stress but it allows us to take a deep breath and lean on God.

It is a matter of loving our Lord with total trust and know that we are not going to be lead anywhere God has not already forged ahead. What joy fills our hearts as we become aware of His goodness.
Let us never waver from new experiences because we believe we do not have the talents or skills…God has already prepared the way


What pleasure we receive when jumping into the new project…volunteering for the first time…applying for a position that is out of our comfort zone or just relaxing and going with the flow. It is all about following where God leads.

So as we begin to go above and beyond our usual let us remember we are not walking alone, but leaning on our Lord. We have His strength and courage to go forward and accomplish what God has waiting for us.  

2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

We have God's continual promise to always be with us and all that is expected from us is faith and trust. Let us go forth knowing we can and will accomplish our goals with the confidence of God.

Prayer Warriors


Our lives are up and down and at times may seem more like downs than ups, however we are blessed with our Lord who continues to guide us. Sometimes His guidance is through music, which lifts us up, other times it will be an article we have read, a friend who reaches out to us or a movie.

This past weekend we went to see "The War Room" and I have to tell you it was inspirational. I laughed, I had tears and by the end of the movie we applauded. It was the reminder I needed to continue being a prayer warrior.

We tend to get bogged down by own issues, yet the Lord is waiting for us to pray for others, to shine as God's light. We forget what a privilege we are given when we are able to pray for others or plant seeds for those who do not know our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Let us go worth today knowing we have asked God's blessing for those in need, for continued healing, for peace and comfort or for the knowledge of knowing Him. We have an amazing opportunity to model our faith....let us shine as Christians and spread His love.

Micah 7:7
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,  I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

I pray we continue to rejoice in His name and praise God for His love, mercy and grace.

New Beginnings

Each day we are given a new beginning. I wonder at times if we understand the significance of this. We are blessed with a day of trust, faith, and forgiveness. How do we approach this gift? I believe at times I take it for granted and do not appreciate the phenomenal opportunities that await me.

We accept the day as any other day and do not allow its significant's to impact us. If we are not thanking our Lord for this day or we are not living the life He has in store for us then we are ignoring the gifts God has waiting for us.

When traveling God's road and not ours we are aligning ourselves with our Father. Reaching out for His gifts and then preparing our day accordingly is all He wants. My prayer is we live beyond our comfort zone or what we believe to be what others expect of us and live for God.

What joy we will encounter along the way as we trust and follow our Lord. God does not promise a smooth sailing but He does promise a life that we can fill with His love and mercy. So let us make the most of this day and celebrate all we are given. Actually let us celebrate even our trials as they make us stronger and more faithful when joining hands with Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".

Lost and found

Lost and Found

 I went on a trip a couple of weeks ago, had a wonderful time, and flew home with joy in my heart after spending time with my brothers and sister-in-laws. Unfortunately when departing the plane I left my journal...What an awful feeling as my thoughts are personal and only for the Lord...

I was angry at my irresponsibility and the joy I had when flying home was gone. I called the airlines in hope they would locate it and put it in lost and found.  For two days I grumbled over the possibility of losing my journal.

Our lives can be an up and down roller coaster, and yet we find the joy through our loving Lord. I realized that losing one tiny journal was not as important as what I have in my life...how silly to worry about a lost item and not worry about a weak faith.

I then had to reevaluate my priorities...was it a lost journal or a continued faith that brings me joy. Naturally we do not want to lose our things, however I had put too much importance to a lost possession...my prayer is we evaluate the importance of our faith rather than our possessions...

Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. 

What a joy it is to praise God and know that we have His unconditional love...even when we lose our focus... and yes, the airline found my journal and it was in lost and found :)

Children model what they see and hear...

It is always so dear when playing with a child to watch their imagination kick into high gear as we pretend play. The other day my granddaughter and I were playing with her Princess dolls and having a wonderful time. She was the Mom with a career and I was the customer.

What was so delightful was noticing how much she models what she sees in the adults around her. She was selling me doll furniture and had to "scan" the products I was buying in order to find the price. It totally surprised and tickled me as I watched her. As a store owner, my granddaughter's  tone and demeanor was confident, courteous and helpful. She was in total control of her environment...

This led me to the realization that how we live, what we model and how we respond to others is being watched and learned by our children/grandchildren. So, as Christians we want to continually put our best foot forward, which means displaying our love for the Lord in all we do and say. It is the simpler and easy example of Christian living.

Can there be a sweeter joy than to know our behaviors and speech teach our children/grandchildren the way of our Lord. Being kind, generous, compassionate or obedient demonstrates what is expected of us. Let us remember to shine for God...When we do our children/grandchildren will grow in the way of  our Lord.

Proverbs 22: 6 Start children off on the way they should go and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

We are given a precious job...raising our children to know and love God and our Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer today is we walk in the ways of God, continue to be obedient to his commands and shine for our Lord for all to see. Let us be a Christian modeling the behavior God expects...

Walking the Chosen Path,

As I was talking with a dear friend the other day I mentioned my grief and loss (from years ago) led me on  my path to the Lord. My friend answered we are "all" on the path God has chosen for us. I acknowledged the response, however later that night I realized that is not true.

Many chose another path, the path of selflessness, corruption, illegal activity and being a society Christian. It is easy to state one is "a Christian" but it is entirely different when you walk the walk and talk the talk.

Stepping beyond friends and society to keep the commands of God and go a different direction is tough. We all want to be part of the group...my thought is which groups is more important... God's or society? We are at a time when we cannot allow our children to listen to the news. as it is no longer censored for young ears.

I have a friend who mentioned there are no more G rated movies...not even Disney...so they want to be very protective what their young ones see. Which leads me to wonder what path are we choosing? I pray our faith is strong enough to endure the onslot of society's behaviors and disregard of God's commands.

So as we go forward today let us put on the armor of God, be thankful for His protection, and give praise for His continued mercy and grace.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will. 

We have an opportunity each day to choose the path of God...let us rejoice in our good fortune and praise His name through our close walk with our Lord. What could be sweeter than to know we walk the path of God's righteousness.

How Stubborn are we?

I have been studying the book of Exodus and wondering how the people of Egypt felt when the pharaoh ignored God's warnings and they were inundated with the plagues. It makes me wonder if I am listening to our Lord and living accordingly.

Now I know I will not have the plagues sent down on me, however I do want to receive all of God's blessings and when we live our lives according to our wants and needs and not what God has in mind for us He must shake His head in disbelief. Are we so stubborn that we choose not to listen and obey?

As a child when we disappoint our parents we feel guilty or should. As Christians hopefully our conscience dictates our behavior; but when we step beyond our Christian boundaries and live our lives according to society it is possible to lose our way.

It is through our faith in our Lord, Jesus, that will give us strength to follow His path and not society's. As we mature in our Christian walk we gain confidence to stand strong. To trust in God and all He has for us. In times of trials as well as joys we must elect to follow what is right in the sight of God not what the world deems acceptable.

It is pure joy to feel His love, know He forgives our sins and to rejoice in the Holy Spirit as it flows through our souls. When praying and praising our Lord we are drawn closer to Him, which then allows us to hear which path God wants us on. This allows us to shine for God and live according to His ways so others may also see the path.

Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

I pray we go forward this day spending time in prayer, learning what God has in store for each of us and knowing the difference between His ways and the ways of the world. God Bless....

Looking for Joy...

Looking for joy, what does that mean? Maybe when our lives are perfect, we have no worries, concerns, or life could not be sweeter...unfortunately this is fleeting. When looking for joy, real joy we find the sweet love of our Lord Jesus.

Our inner joy brings contentment to our souls, even when there is strife. Or maybe I should say especially when there is strife; however, there will be times when all will run smoothly and we say, "awe what a perfect day", and yet, how do we acknowledge this perfect day? Do we thank the Lord?

Thanking our Lord is what gives us the JOY....feeling His love, knowing all we have is from Him and appreciating His mercy and grace is extraordinary.  I believe there can be nothing more satisfying than praising His name and  understanding God's capacity to love and care for us.

As we go forward with this day, let us find the joy...as we connect closer to our Lord, build our relationship, become ever more personal with Him, and experience the joy that accompanies it. Our Lord loves filling us with His joy, knowing it brings us home to Him.

John 15:11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

 Having God and our Lord Jesus in our lives is what we search for when looking for joy...We are blessed.

Disappointments in life

Many times during our lives we are disappointed, disillusioned or distressed. Maybe we did not get the job offer, a relationship did not last or a friend betrayed us. How do we handle this and how do we respond? As Christians what is our next step?

I believe it is important to keep the focus where it should be....on Jesus...building our relationship with Him  in order to live our lives for Him and do the work God has given us to do. We are all going to be let down from time to time, yet it is our reactions that matter. God knows our weaknesses and vulnerabilities...let's not lose the focus...

We have a golden opportunity to shine as Christians when we respond in gentleness, kindness or sincerity. We are not in control of others and it is not up to us to be their keepers. That is our Lord's job...and He does not need our help, which is a good thing as we would more than likely mess it up.

I always marvel at our Lord's love and mercy; He knows our hearts and our plans and continues to love us. We have so many in need; with health issues, financial stress or worldly struggles. It is important we follow our Lord, join in fellowship with like minded Christians and spend time building the bond with our Lord and Savior.

The closer we become to God the more we want to please Him; I can only imagine how sweet it would be to know that we are the "apple of His eye"...to be counted as one of His. My prayer is we keep the focus on Jesus, continue to pray for everyone (no matter the circumstances) and ask the Lord to watch over us in our times of trials.
 
Ephesians 3:16-17 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith

Family Love and Generosity...

I had the opportunity to speak to a friend the other day and heard how her sister decided to surprise her with enough money to upgrade a badly needed kitchen fix. My friend was overwhelmed by her sister's generosity and love.

This reminded me of our Lord's love, as He puts earthly angels in our lives. We are blessed everyday with tiny miracles we receive from friends and family. It may be a phone call that brightens our day, a surprise visit or a date for lunch when we so needed a break.

What is so sweet about my friend's kitchen is she would have been just fine with the way it was, but having the surprise upgrade was a testimony of God's love. She had wanted to fix the needed improvements for years, but was unable to afford it. She would never have asked for the help, yet her sister understood this and was blessed with God's abundance, which allowed her  to reach out and help my friend. What a joyful conversation that must have been when she heard what her sister was going to do and what a prayer of thanksgiving my friend gave to our Lord.

Many times we need God's help, but believe we do not have the right to ask, yet He tells us to come to him with prayers and supplications. Our Lord wants nothing more than to know we trust in Him enough to ask for His help. Of course we will not have all our request answered the way we would like however God does answer our prayers.

My prayer this day is we seek Him, trust Him and love Him. He is the way and He is our benefactor. Our lives may not be filled with financial abundance or continual upgrades to homes or cars, yet our abundance grows in our faith. It fills our souls with joy knowing we have His grace and love.

 Hebrew 11: 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Let us continue to spread God's joy by reaching out to others, sharing His promises and thanking Him for all we have. Our lives are not about what we do not have but what we do have...family, friends and God's unfailing love.

Overwhelming chores

There are days I believe I have it all together and others that totally overwhelm me. Yesterday was one of those days...a project that I thought to be doable became over the top involved and complex. My first thought was just do not do it..after all it is not something I have to accomplish.

But then I could hear that inner voice saying something different. Sometimes we are given chores or projects that will stretch our limits, push us for further growth or increase our confidence. Although my first impulse was to ignore and give up, I realized what ever is put before me I must complete. It does not matter how trying or difficult it may seem I can accomplish it.

Our Lord continues to walk with us, gives us strength and the fortitude to push forward with energy and feelings of a positive attitude...a can do attitude with God's help. This was a good lesson for me as I must remember that God does not desert us when the going is trying, complicated or over the top involved.

Through prayer and trust we will accomplish the task and know when troubled we will be successful. It may have taken longer and we may have had to work more diligently, however the final outcome is worth the time and effort. 

My prayer today is go forward with your chores, projects or tasks with that can do attitude. Know that our Lord is accompanying us with our endeavors. We do not walk alone nor work alone...let us rejoice that we have the joy and blessings of God.

Philippians 4:4-7  Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We are blessed knowing that our Lord hears our prayers and fills us with His love, mercy and grace; all the while easing our anxiety through our trust and faith in Him.

What a day

Yahoo, it is a beautiful  warm summer day. I can hear the birds singing, a neighbor mowing the lawn and watched a child ride by on his bike.  When I was young it was filled with library books ( I know that dates me), swimming at the public pool and going to the lake for family picnics. Life was grand, uncomplicated and simple.

I believe we called that "the good ol days"....Yet, it is what is happening now...what is in our lives now that is worth our praise and celebration. It is God and Jesus Christ. Our Father and Savior. What makes this so special is this relationship lasts our entire life not just for a time or season.

We do not have to think back on special times like our fond memories of our childhood, but know that our close relationship with Jesus continues to build and grow. We open our hearts to His love; we are able to see the  miracles of everyday life...a soft warm breeze in the mornings, the laughter of a grandchild, or just enjoying a summer evening.

Many times we get caught up in life, we forget to enjoy the simple daily activities, the blessings of family and friends, the opportunities to help or pray for others and to spend time with our Lord. As we enjoy our day let us remember to thank Him for always being there and to be ever merciful and loving.

Whether it is a beautiful summer morning or blissful evening watching the stars let us thank our Lord for the miracles of our everyday life. The opportunities to shine for Him and allow His love to glow through us.

God's Tree

Many of us enjoy learning about our ancestors. Where did we originate, what were they like, and did they have health, wealth or wisdom? Were our ancestors faithful to God and their families? How did their past lives affect us today.

I believe our past does affect our present. We live, worship and raise our children by what we know. It is inter-generational unless we have had different experiences from our parents and grandparents. We tend to continue what is comfortable and known, but breaking from past traditions that do not instill a strong faith and personal relationship with our Lord is the beginning....If past generations lived without a strong faith, yet you are feeling God's call then you have an amazing opportunity to begin that new branch.

It may seem silly, to think we should consider a new branch on our ancestral tree, however it is not a new branch in having babies or marriage. I am talking about adding a new branch to God's tree. Are we raising our families with a personal relationship with our Lord? Are we seriously committed to loving God and building a bond that  strengthens us no matter the circumstances.

We are given so much; we have God's unconditional love, His forgiveness and mercy. Let us shower our family with the gifts we receive from our Father...nourish our children with the compassion from Jesus and begin the tradition of a personal relationship with our Lord. When we do this we will watch our branches blossom and grow as our families faith is strong, sturdy and lasting through the generations.

Jude 1:24-25 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

What a joy to know we are growing ever closer to Jesus, raising our families with His love and planting seeds of God's greatness in our children.

Incredible Journey

Each day the Lord allows our journey to expand and grow. We feel He blessings through the joy in our lives. We feel His love when there are struggles, grief or incredible hurdles to overcome. We know He is walking with us as our trust in Him keeps us afloat.

As life is peppered between the positive and the negative it is important to remember that we are never alone; therefore let us express the gratitude of graciousness and love to our Lord with our whole hearts.  To remember why we are on this earth...let's continue to shine for the Lord no matter the circumstances and set an example for those around us.

So as we continue today's journey my prayer is we indulge in God's love, mercy and grace; know that He is continually preparing the way and guiding us. We are blessed with His never ending care and assurance that we are His children.

When our paths are geared towards God's plan nothing can be sweeter...it will still have some thorns along the way, but once we past the thorns our lives are sweet, content and meaningful. When feeling this, let us remember to praise His name and enjoy His love.

Proverbs 16:9 In their heats humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. 

Let us go forth with the knowledge God is in control and our lives will experience His sweetness...

Rekindle the Love

When we contemplate rebuilding or re-energizing a relationship how do we go about it? For most of us it is putting in the time; being attentive, thoughtful or doing something extra. All this will work as long as there is a strong commitment  to the relationship in the beginning.

We are blessed with an ever patient Lord, as He waits for us to rebuild or begin to build our relationship with Him. He does however expect us to put in the time, read the Bible, join a Bible study, worship, pray and enjoy fellowship with like minded Christians.

The benefits of these blessings exceeds our expectations, as His love, mercy and grace surround us if we allow it.  We are given daily opportunities to grow close to Jesus. It may be by simply saying thank you Lord for the day. The fact that we know He is always with us no matter the circumstances is a sure sign of His love.

Our relationship with the Lord is not hindered by struggles or challenges, however it is strengthened knowing He will walk with us as we lean on Him. Through our day let us remember to ask for guidance, have an ear to hear Him and an open heart to grow closer to Him. Lets rekindle God's love and enjoy His blessings.

2 Thessalonians 3:5   May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

My prayer today is that our relationship to the Lord grows closer, we feel His love and enjoy His grace.

Resist Change

As humans, one of our greatest challenges is change. We are creatures of habit and enjoy the normalcy of the everyday...the same routine...and life in our comfort zone. Yet, as we expand our horizons, meet new friends and move beyond the ever safety "comfort zone", we realize we are walking closer to the path God may want us on.

Throughout our life, we may hinder the plans prepared for us by our Lord by refusing, fearing or lacking confidence to move forward. When we believe we do not have the talents, skills or required experience we limit God's abilities to increase our lives.

Finding the strength to go beyond our comfort zone and experience what is waiting for us is truly an amazing gift. Relying on our Lord to prepare us, protect us and provide for us will lead us to the destination God has planned.

It is not always easy...OK, it may  never be easy; however, the results can only lead us closer to Jesus. To lean on Him for courage and know that He is our first stop toward our destination. Once our relationship with Jesus is complete, we will have a better mindset as we go forward toward God's plans.

Let us move onward today, preparing for some change, knowing God has prepared the way. Let us  trust Him in all ways and in all things. When we feel fearful or lacking confidence let us move into our "Jesus moment" and hang tight to His hand all the while praising His name. 

Psalm 56:3-4 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise; In God I trust; I will not be afraid .

As we praise His name, make room for the delightful changes and relish in all He has planned for us... let us enjoy the day.

God's Blessings

Some days are just over the top..a time when everything is in its place and all is well with your world. When I have those feelings I want to shout from the mountain top...Thank you Lord!! My heart is full and the blessings seem to overwhelm me.

The joy is, we all have those days. It is a time to praise God and know he fulfills dreams we thought impossible...But then we realize He heard our prayers, and when the timing is right His love grants the wishes that are best for us. 

As you go through the dark times I pray that you hold fast to our Lord and prepare for the the blessings He will bestow on you. It may seem your prayers are not being heard, however it is all in God's timing; therefore lets wait with patience and love. When we do, the blessings are ever so sweet.

New Friends

Have you ever joined a new group or club where you met a potential new friend(s), which then blossomed into a wonderful and meaningful relationship? Isn't it joyous and beyond words? I have had that opportunity the past six months.

In the beginning it was somewhat overwhelming, however as you get to know your "new" friends it becomes comfortable and exciting at the same time. You learn about their lives, families and joys as well as some of their struggles.

I believe as we grow and build our relationship with Jesus we find a "new" friend. Someone who has been waiting for us to join "His group". What better company could we possibly be in...Our Lord and Savior.

It can be an awe-inspiring experience to feel His love...to know He is with us through all our joys and struggles. And as our relationships grow closer to Him we realize being counted as one of His...can only be the highlight of our lives.

Once we experience His love...we will only want to grow closer. My prayer today is that you have the opportunity to experience His love, open your hearts to Him and have your souls refreshed by His grace.

Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Sharing our Love

The other day I was invited to speak to two different ladies groups regarding my personal relationship with Jesus. What a joy to speak about my personal growth and have opportunities to encourage others to do the same. To me, it is a love story, as I learned the closer my relationship to our Lord became, the more I felt His presence and experienced His love.

Unfortunately many times it takes a crisis to bring us searching for Him. Yet, He is always constant, always waiting for us to seek His presence and to enjoy all He offers. God's love is over flowing and never ending. Which then, makes me question my relationship with Him.

Is my love for our Lord and Savior overflowing? Is it over the top? Do I turn to Him in times of stress or tribulation or try to handle it myself? I pray I do and will continue to enjoy His love, mercy and grace.

It is through my  personal relationship with Jesus, that blesses me daily no matter the circumstances. I may wonder about certain issues, however I know who is in control and that God has a plan so I give all concerns to Him.

My prayer for you is your total trust in our Lord and know that the plans God has for you are magnificent. As your personal relationship grows you too will experience His love, mercy and grace.

Psalms 145: 4-6 One generation will commend your works to another; they tell of your might acts. They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
What perfect words to live by...Let us rejoice in His love.

A Day of Thankfulness....

Have you ever worked on something with little to no progress? I spent the other day working on my computer to no avail. I then mentioned it to a friend who said, "I know who can help." It was a bright light in my frustrating day. All at once I felt a surge of relief, hope and excitement. I was going to finish my project...

Have you ever felt that glow with God's help? The up lifting spirit, the flow of love through your body or relief knowing He has taken care of it. When we allow our Lord to accompany us through our struggles, we no longer have to be concerned and all we have to do is trust.

What more could we ask, then to have Jesus working with us and for us. To guide us as we follow with a humble heart. Let us remember our Lord waits at the door for us to invite Him in. We are then  given His continual peace, mercy and love.

The concerns, which we found insurmountable were easily taken care of by God. Let us continue to praise Him, rejoice in His love and grow closer in our personal relationship with Him; we then open the door to His blessings and have invited Him in.

Micah 7:7 But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

Personalize Prayer

The Lord gives us many gifts but the most astonishing one is our personal relationship with Him. He gives us the same opportunity we give our own children. We love them so and are pleased beyond words when we share special times with them.

Yet, when our children are talking with us... are they distracted…are they invested into the conversation or are we getting lip service? If it is lip service, we are disappointed but still love them…We should then ask ourselves… is our relationship with Jesus without distractions?

I pray we are not giving lip service, but we are personalizing our conversations with Him…We are praising Him for His love…thanking Him for all we have and all that is to come. To know all will be well no matter the circumstances and to be thankful.

The more we praise God and follow His commands the more we are blessed. He wants us to receive all He has…to trust in times of trials and to rejoice as we walk through our difficulties with Him.
He is our strength…so as we turn our thoughts and prayers to Him let us open our hearts and talk to our Father. Rejoice knowing He has heard our pleas and has already prepared the way….

Psalm 29:1-2 Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Give to the Lord the glory
due to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

He hears all our conversations…and answers…Praise God!

Meeting Our Goals

What joys we have in each new day as we prepare for new opportunities or just cleaning a closet. When our thoughts and feelings are aligned with the Lord we are walking in His light. It is through His love we are lifted up with spiritual energy as we go about our day

We are instilled with a get-up-and-go that drives us to new levels; our Lord wants us to succeed in every aspect of our lives and to shine for God. We do this by being honorable in our decision making, meeting goals with a compassionate heart and being humble as we accomplish the smallest of chores.

We can also raise our level of devotion to God through daily prayers and conversation, continued Bible studies and the enjoyment of Christian fellowship. Let’s show the world how a lifestyle of living within God’s commands can sustain us through struggles and fill us with His love in times of joy.

Life is not always easy or comfortable; however we find solace in His care as we grow in our Christian maturity. So whether we are cleaning closets or embarking on new adventures let’s go forth with a heart filled with His compassion and grace as we take up the challenge of this day.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14, 23 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love...The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

Allow God to be ever present in your life; allow your heart to overflow with His peace; allow the Holy Spirit to seal you with His love.
