Schedules & Prayer

Where did the week go? Here we are facing the beginning of another busy week with most of Sunday behind us...time just flies by. Yet, it is with anticipation that we go forth with work schedules, school schedules, and the fall routines that slide into place late August. I am always amazed how quickly summer ends and the new school year begins. I heard teachers’ commenting on “another” year begins...some with dread and others with eagerness. It seems that many of us look at our spiritual life the same way…some with expectations and eagerness and others with little or no interest. Living our lives with the love of God and Jesus allows us comfort, confidence and anticipation of an amazing life. Walking with God and Jesus does not exempt us from the trials of everyday life, illnesses, and lack of employment or disappointments; however it teaches us how to live through these trials. James 1: 2-4 Consider it pure joy my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish the work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. I pray we go forward this week with an eagerness to listen to God’s word, pray, and develop our spiritual life that brings us closer to God and Jesus. With challenges that could get us down let us lean on God and hang on to Jesus. He will carry us through the maze of life. Smiles & Blessings, Cynthia Collins Kaitfors
