Weird For God

As we look at society we can see that “normal” is not working…we have divorce, playing married (sexual activity) and following societal views. Many of today’s youth do not have parents setting examples of loving God and Jesus Christ.

Families are so busy trying to get ahead, emulating those in the media or just too busy for family time that morals and values are put on the back burner. Following the commands of God is not a conversation around the dinner table or before the children are tucked into bed.

So I guess the question is…How do we become “weird or extraordinary for God? How do we become enthusiastic for the Lord? Is it simply going to church on Sunday…attending a Bible study or just hanging out with like-minded friends and family?

As parents, grandparents or teachers let’s be “serious” for God…Let’s shine with that inner light God gives each of us and tell the world God is love. God is the way and Jesus is our salvation.

Stayed engaged with God and Jesus Christ as we show our children the miracles of life…that prayers are answered and when in crisis it is to God we turn…Through prayers our struggles lessen, our health increases and our soul is filled with the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:5-8 …make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge, and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

What a joy to know that we are gifted with the ability to raise a child in the presence of God and Jesus Christ, to give them the boundaries and morals of self-restraint and to plant seeds in the good soil.

Smiles & Blessings,
