A Day of Thankfulness....
Have you ever worked on something with little to no progress? I spent the other day working on my computer to no avail. I then mentioned it to a friend who said, "I know who can help." It was a bright light in my frustrating day. All at once I felt a surge of relief, hope and excitement. I was going to finish my project...
Have you ever felt that glow with God's help? The up lifting spirit, the flow of love through your body or relief knowing He has taken care of it. When we allow our Lord to accompany us through our struggles, we no longer have to be concerned and all we have to do is trust.
What more could we ask, then to have Jesus working with us and for us. To guide us as we follow with a humble heart. Let us remember our Lord waits at the door for us to invite Him in. We are then given His continual peace, mercy and love.
The concerns, which we found insurmountable were easily taken care of by God. Let us continue to praise Him, rejoice in His love and grow closer in our personal relationship with Him; we then open the door to His blessings and have invited Him in.
Micah 7:7 But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

Personalize Prayer
The Lord gives us many gifts but the most astonishing one is our personal relationship with Him. He gives us the same opportunity we give our own children. We love them so and are pleased beyond words when we share special times with them.
Yet, when our children are talking with us... are they distracted…are they invested into the conversation or are we getting lip service? If it is lip service, we are disappointed but still love them…We should then ask ourselves… is our relationship with Jesus without distractions?
I pray we are not giving lip service, but we are personalizing our conversations with Him…We are praising Him for His love…thanking Him for all we have and all that is to come. To know all will be well no matter the circumstances and to be thankful.
The more we praise God and follow His commands the more we are blessed. He wants us to receive all He has…to trust in times of trials and to rejoice as we walk through our difficulties with Him.
He is our strength…so as we turn our thoughts and prayers to Him let us open our hearts and talk to our Father. Rejoice knowing He has heard our pleas and has already prepared the way….
Psalm 29:1-2 Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Give to the Lord the glory
due to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
He hears all our conversations…and answers…Praise God!

Meeting Our Goals
What joys we have in each new day as we prepare for new opportunities or just cleaning a closet. When our thoughts and feelings are aligned with the Lord we are walking in His light. It is through His love we are lifted up with spiritual energy as we go about our day
We are instilled with a get-up-and-go that drives us to new levels; our Lord wants us to succeed in every aspect of our lives and to shine for God. We do this by being honorable in our decision making, meeting goals with a compassionate heart and being humble as we accomplish the smallest of chores.
We can also raise our level of devotion to God through daily prayers and conversation, continued Bible studies and the enjoyment of Christian fellowship. Let’s show the world how a lifestyle of living within God’s commands can sustain us through struggles and fill us with His love in times of joy.
Life is not always easy or comfortable; however we find solace in His care as we grow in our Christian maturity. So whether we are cleaning closets or embarking on new adventures let’s go forth with a heart filled with His compassion and grace as we take up the challenge of this day.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14, 23 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love...The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
Allow God to be ever present in your life; allow your heart to overflow with His peace; allow the Holy Spirit to seal you with His love.

He Waits with Outstretched Arms
When death occurs, it is such a difficult moment as we feel the loss and sadness; however today as I learned of a dear friend’s death I knew God had answered her prayers.
She was recently diagnosed with stage 3-lung cancer. Her greatest fear was the pain of death not the death itself. She was a prayer warrior and knew the Lord had forged the path in which she would travel. What she did not know was that God laid a path of peace and grace for our dear friend and sister in Christ.
This is just one tiny miracle in our daily lives…He hears our prayers, our concerns and fears. As we trust in Him, our concerns vanish as they did with our friend. God allowed her to pass onto Him with the grace in which she lived.
Hearing about this moment of grace is only a small fraction of what God does for us. He enriches our lives with His unconditional love, we are given friendships that bring a smile to our faces and memories that touch our hearts.
As we prepare to say good-bye to this joyous friend, colleague and sister in Christ, we do so with mixed emotions. We will miss her dearly; however, I believe she will be watching over us with her smiles and prayers as she did each day.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
God’s love directed our friend’s path to an ending worthy of her love for our Lord, compassion and understanding to her colleagues and her amazing strong spirit. It was a blessing to be called her friend.

Today's Vitamins
Have you ever wondered about taking that ever-ready vitamin pill for strength, endurance and health? I was praying and listening to God’s word the other day and realized we not only need that vitamin on a daily basis but we need the Lord’s word for our joys, blessings and comforts.
It is through our daily walk with God that brings us our confidence and resilience (our vitamin so to speak) as our Lord prepares us for life; we are going to be challenged, tested and quizzed through everyday hurdles and roadblocks. Working and living with the presence of God always present in our lives allows us to jump the hurdles and manuever around the roadblocks.
Let us remember whose we are and who we are… “a child of God”…Through His love and grace we are able to accomplish what God has put in front of us; as we continue to follow His path, our Lord guides and directs us
So prepare for His goodness with daily worship, prayers and thankfulness. His grace is our “vitamin” for continued healing, success and a joyful spirit. Build your personal relationship with Jesus and treasure His goodness and love.
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
As we join in Christian fellowship, follow God’s commands, shine forth with His glory, and relish in our Lords power and majesty.

Renewed & Refreshed
Whether we begin a new day, a new week or a new year it is with high hopes and optimism. We look at life with a renewed spirit and hope for the coming days. Why is it we need that opportunity to begin fresh? We are so blessed with the love of Jesus and God’s forgiveness.
We learn so much about ourselves as we react or not to each new dilemma that confronts our lives. Let's stay strong in our faith, pray with confidence and be prepared for His goodness. The answers may not be in our time, but God’s yet; we are always taken care of. It is through our patience and trust that opens our hearts to see the gifts.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
As we enjoy the new beginnings of each day praise God for His goodness, rejoice in our Salvation and feel renewed by the Holy Spirit.

The saying; “Today is the first day of the rest of my life”…is a reminder to thank the Lord for our blessings. We are given so much and we give back so little it is essential that we cherish our loved ones, the bounty that blesses us and our opportunities before us.
When struggling with the challenges of employment, poor health or other family crisis’s the Lord knows our hearts and has prepared us for the next step. As we walk with our Lord, build our personal relationship and truly trust His promise we have nothing to fear. A Great Leader
We live in a society that needs leadership, guidance and strategies to reach our goals or accomplish deadlines. The strength and quality of the leader will determine the outcome of the finished product and one’s attitude.
I had the privilege of attending a leadership conference; I listened to the speaker and observed others as he spoke about being humble, caring and fair. It was quite apparent that he was a Christian without any comment from him about his faith.
It brought to my mind our greatest leader, Jesus Christ. He led with compassion, understanding and love and two thousand years later we are still following his commands and directions.
It gives great testimony to the power of a great, loving and caring leader. We lead and direct people daily and it is up to us to be a leader that is aligned with God’s mercy and grace. That encompasses listening to others, allowing others to grow and to trust.
No matter the circumstance we have an opportunity to lead by how we behave through a difficult situation or our attitude as we struggle with life challenges. Let’s lead our families, friends and co-workers with the leadership of Jesus.
Let’s emulate God’s kindness, be gracious in our words and show empathy to those in need. We have a responsibility to everyone within our circle of life as well as society…Let’s walk God’s walk and be a beacon to others.
Romans 15:1-2 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
As we continue to live and work with family, friends and co-workers let’s encourage support and inspire so each person reaches the goals God has set in place. Continue to follow His path and praise His name.
