“Two heads are better than one”, we have heard this saying for years and at times it does make sense after all if we are brain storming at work, deciding where to put furniture in the house or playing games with a child it is always more fun and enjoyable to bounce ideas off each other.
We also have more confidence in ourselves, feel stronger when in a crisis or attain the peace needed when allowing God to be our second head. When needing wisdom what is better than the source of all power our Lord?
We will live a life of honor and integrity when following God’s commands. It would be like having that second head helping us make choices, set boundaries and pursue the life our Lord has planned.
Our lives have a variety of options but only a few that are aligned with God’s plan. When in doubt seek Him in prayer, when your direction is lost seek Our Lord for the guidelines to success and the wisdom of God will fill our souls.
Psalm 50: 1-2 Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
What a joy and delight to know when we are in need God is there and when we need a second opinion once again He is there. Let’s continue with prayers and supplications that lead us to wisdom and right choices.

Negate the Negative
Have you ever completed a report, paper or assignment on your computer only to find out that it didn’t save properly? How did you respond? Well, that is just what happened to me…I had completed my devotion and when I came back to the computer I realized it was no longer there…
We all have some irritations in our lives, but with the grace of God we are able to complete our work and be joyful. Walking in love with our Lord gives us patience, sense of humor and abilities to accomplish all that God has planned. We are never more than a conversation from our Lord who encourages and supports our endeavors.
It is like having a best friend who is always there, who bolsters our confidence and authenticates our abilities. His love never wavers and confirms our faith as we trust and believe. Our Lord, Jesus established the way and with our devotion He comforts, carries and strengthens our lives.
So whether having a day of irritations or joyful responsibilities let’s remember God is in control. How we respond to our everyday life displays our attitude of faith. Being in fellowship with our Lord allows a calmness that negates any negative thinking. We are able to shine for God and do the work He has given us to do with peace and tranquility.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
Rejoice in the glory of God, praise His name and sing out to the heavens with love.

Exercising Our Soul
Beginning our day with Thanksgiving is like breathing the cleanest and freshest air…it rejuvenates our spirit and jump starts our day with peace and grace. This is the best of habits…it is like exercising our soul…and we know how good exercising is for us.
As we begin this new habit or continue the already established habit it will be our daily bread for the soul. We will begin to crave our time of prayer and personal conversation with God. Can any habit be more fulfilling than a relationship with our Lord?
Let’s bless our Lord not only daily but throughout the day, let’s praise His name for the health and energy to get out of bed with a smile and hope, for the opportunities that await us and for family and friends that love us and who stand fast in time of trials and challenges.
It is through Our Savior, Jesus that provides strength and courage; it is through Our Loving God who provides the peace and mercy to persevere and the Holy Spirit who provides joy in our souls. So as we begin each day with praise and thanksgiving let’s remember it is through trust and faith that brings the delight of God into our world.
Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.
Exercising with God is the ultimate partner in life. Go forth with the exuberance of a child learning to walk…receive His joy and know that He is smiling as we build spiritual muscle and knowledge.

Honoring Our Father
Today is a day to honor Father’s; however we should be honoring “Our Father” on a daily basis. We do this by praising His name, following His commands and loving our neighbors as we love ourselves.
What joy we would share with those around us, teaching our young people the gifts of everyday and role modeling behavior that pays tribute to God. It is a distinct privilege to share the title “Christian” with others.
It is a greater privilege to do the work He has planned for us, to learn our purpose and to witness His love. Every day is a new day to share the Gospel and the miracles of life. Jesus gave the greatest gift…Salvation…let’s go forward sharing His love.
Hebrews 13:15-16 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise- the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
As we honor our “earthly father’s” let’s not forget to continually honor our Heavenly Father through our prayers and praises for we are blessed.

Attitude of Faith
How strong is your faith? Do you walk around with anger or joy? Are you easily upset or do you take life with a grain of salt? When walking in faith we are able to absorb some of life’s little irritations rather than fly off the handle.
It is with God’s love that we do not become instantly angry or upset; rather we take a deep breath and know that all will be ok. Allowing the enemy to take control of our thoughts and actions keeps us from a godly life.
Living fully with the love of God in our soul allows patience and calmness to lead our emotions and reactions that displays an attitude of faith. Let’s bring joy to those around us, tranquility to uncontrolled tempers and serenity instead of anger.
Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Be bold in your convictions; stand tall in your faith and walk with trust and devotion to God. Our lives with be peaceful as our attitude with be good-natured with a stillness that can only come from our Lord.

Facing a Prognosis...
I had an email from a girlfriend the other day telling us that her daughter once again has cancer. I don’t believe there can be any worse prognosis a parent can receive…the fear of losing a child…no matter their age.
Yet, as I read the email I heard the love of God shine through her words, the joy of God’s healing once again touch her daughter and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit fill their souls.
This is how we should all live; no matter the circumstance we should incorporate God’s power into our lives, sparkle and glow with our love for Him and stand out in our faith. Dedicating the joy received from God to all in our lives is our gift…let’s be an example for others and walk in faith.
Trusting our Lord in all matters allows us to walk through our challenges with strength, courage and resilience. Knowing God has our lives firmly under control gives peace and tranquility.
Colossians 1:27 God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of the mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Our faith and trust showers us with our Lord’s hope and endurance, which leads to our survival from all trials and tribulations. Today I ask for God’s mercy, the healing of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit for all who are facing a prognosis other than complete health.

We Abound in Hope
As the day closes and the sun is set we take the time to say thank you Lord for the day. What did we do with our day? Run from one activity or meeting to another? Did we meet the expectations God had for us? Some days get so busy we forget to take a breath and give thanks.
It is so easy to be self-absorbed, think we are more important than others or feel irreplaceable, so let’s keep our lives in God perspective…Our thoughts should be on others not ourselves, no one is more important than another (no matter what your job) and we are all replaceable.
The joy is we are still one of a kind. God made us unique with special gifts and talents. We are walking the earth for a purpose and if we keep the faith, trust and follow our Lord while believing we will accomplish God’s purpose.
It is exciting to know that He made each of us with a specific goal…at times we may not know what is expect from us, but if we stay in “constant” relationship with Him we hear the call. Doing what He expects, staying away from temptation and following His commands builds our faith as it brings us closer to Jesus.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him”- but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.
Go forth with praise knowing we are abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
