My three year old granddaughter loves to ride her bike (with training wheels) around the complex with her Daddy. She is completely at ease, doesn’t worry about cars or any other dangers. She just smiles and giggles as they go around and around.
Living as a Christian should be as delightful and full of excitement as the child riding the bike with a friend or family member. God is walking with us and extends His love and care for each of us.
We undoubtedly will have those mishaps that make us sad, baffle our thinking or misguide us to a negative disposition or actions. Yet, if looking at life through the eyes of a child…with wonder, trust and joy no matter the circumstance we will be strong and positive.
Let’s remember a child may be unhappy one moment but then quickly forgets the problem or conflict and before you know it they are playing and enjoying the day. This is God’s expectation of us…when there are problems, hand them to our Lord in prayer and with a deep breath continue with the day.
All our worries and concerns will diminish in size and our load becomes much lighter. So with a heart of a child let’s allow God to lead us, care for us and deliver us from all negative encounters. Begin the day with prayer and thanksgiving as we know God is in control.
John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Our scripture warms our hearts as we know our Lord Jesus has prepared the way for each believer…praise and glorify His name through thanksgiving and prayers.

Don't Sit Back
When situations arise that are beyond our control… what is our plan of action? Do we hibernate with uncertainty…or do we boldly go forward? Many times we do not have the understanding or fortitude to continue, yet with God’s wisdom we gain the knowledge to persevere.
Declaring our faith builds spiritual energy…we expand God’s power in our souls that increases our capabilities and might. Our Lord is the way...through His graciousness and love He enables us to strive toward His goal.
Let’s live the life God has planned no matter the disappointments, challenges or hurdles, as we remember we are the children of God. Our Lord Jesus walks with us through each obstacle and when we no longer believe we are able to endure the situation He carries us.
There is no greater love than God’s, no greater strength and support than our Lord Jesus and no greater gift than the Holy Spirit. Let’s keep our faith strong and abound in hope through trust and receive the treasures waiting for us.
Colossians 2: 2-3 My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of the complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
With an open heart let God fill you with hope and peace, while the Holy Spirit fills your soul with His joy.

Following God's Path
Living in the secular world we tend to get caught up in what society deems as important, successful and meaningful; yet their value system is skewed to what is popular at the time. Decades before society looked down on divorce, living together and drugs.
Now it is looked at as a way of life; however all one needs to do is read the Bible and know how God feels about the popular lifestyle. It is very plain as to how He wants us to live. Our Lord expects us to be honorable, reach His expectations by following the commandments and to love one another.
It seems so simple yet we are human and the enemy easily infiltrates our mind which weakens our self-restraint and morals. Let’s be certain of God's will…what He wants for each of us and then follow the path on which He guides us.
Look for the miracle in the day, whether it be a smile from a stranger, a new opportunity for a career or continued recovery from an illness. Keep the enemy from your thoughts through constant prayer, following the commands and being kind to all.
Our lives grow and prosper through God’s love…His love is our nourishment for a life well lived. Remember to be thankful each day, to praise His name and be humble in all circumstances.
3 John 1:11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
Walk in love as God walks in us…seek His wisdom in order to know the difference between the secular world and God’s. Sing of the wonders and miracles with pride as we are followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Grow in Spirit
Loving the Lord is so easy, that I am perplexed that anyone would choose to ignore His existence. Life is more accepting, kinder and compassionate when living with a heart for God. We are able to be less judgmental and more understanding…can it be an easier than that?
Our heart fills with joy from the Holy Spirit when aligned with our Lord. He allows us to know that everything will be as it should…even when we are faced with trials, tribulations and challenges.
Loving the Lord is a way of life…it is like breathing the cleanest air that rejuvenates our spirit. We walk with a bounce and a skip that lifts our soul above the stresses and oppositions that could bring us down.
Our lives are given new meaning when we become an everyday Christian, through our commitment to God’s world. We have the power to overcome any situation as God’s strength fulfills our lives.
Psalm 23:6 Surely your goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Loving the Lord is having a personal relationship with Him that enables us to grow in sprit and knowledge.

God's Priceless Love
What will the day be like…what are our expectations? Living life with God’s love and promises is beyond anything we could dream. What He wants for us is greater than our most secret wish.
Living life with God’s love supplies our wants, instills His desires on our heart and establishes our relationship with our Lord. We are gifted with hopes and dreams that become real when following God’s path.
Living life with God’s love may require us to step out of the box with the confidence of Jesus as He increases our opportunities that turn into adventures. It is through hard work, diligence, constant faith and trust in our Lord that opens the door to success.
Living life with God’s love ignores negative thoughts that may hinder God’s miracles that wait for us. Yet, we believe and trust in our Lord with a pure heart and prayers to honor our Savior. As we lift our eyes to the heavens, raise our arms with thanksgiving and praise His name in all His glory we give thanks for His love.
Psalm 36: 7-8 How priceless is your love, O God! your people take refuge under the shadow of your wings. They feast upon the abundance of your house; you give them drink from the river of your delights.
Seek God’s grace and mercy; while following the commands for a godly life as you grow rich in His wisdom.

Be a Blessing
We talk about serving God and doing all that our Lord would want from us and in a perfect world that would be an easy feat; however we live in the “earthly” world where corruption and temptation entice us.
What we can do is be a blessing to others because if we are doing all we can for others then we are serving God. Reaching out may be a ride to the doctor’s office, a trip to the store or making a meal for a family in need.
All our extra activities are done with a heart of God and a willing to help friends, families and strangers who need a little God-help. Remembering to be “Jesus-like” is living for God and learning to treat others as we would like to be treated.
The Disney song “Whistle While You Work”, is telling us to be happy in all our endeavors no matter the level of work but to always give quality. Singing praises to God while lifting our voices in prayer and thanksgiving for the ability and opportunities to help others is the blessing we receive from our Lord.
We will be filled with the energy of Angels, the strength of Jesus and the compassion of God, while serving and loving our Lord. Through gladness and delight let us dispense our support and assistance when the need arrives.
Psalm 71: 7-8 I have become like a portent to many, but you are my strong refuge. My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.
Be a godsend to those around you and serve our Lord.

Be Assiduous in Prayer
Our offering to God is living for Him and being a service to our Lord; however there are days when everyday life gets in the way. We have car trouble, woke up late or just felt empty and lacked motivation.
This is the way the enemy pushes us away from God. We become overwhelmed, negative and unable to have a positive attitude. Yet, it is through our Lord that we become strong with a mindset of peace and tranquility.
As we continue to be assiduous in our prayer life we break any hold the enemy has on us, as God is more powerful than even the strongest negative thought. We are given the fortitude and courage to endure all of life’s challenges.
We know through God’s love and care that all will be just as He planned. Continuing our service affords us the gifts of His mercy and grace as we stay constant in our faith. Seek His love with a true heart, stay in continual prayer and conversation with Him and know that our paths are guided by Jesus.
2 Corinthians 7:1 Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
Go forth with a prayer on your lips, love in your heart and peace in your soul as we are the children of God.
